European Category Manager Footwear 'Strategic Accounts'

Position

 

Responsible for the positioning of the strategic accounts category according to the needs of the European market (focus on the key markets).The product-line should be on trend and still emphasize the unique positioning of K-Swiss by following the defined brand & product parameters.

 

Tasks and responsibilities

 

·        Category Footwear planning
Create the strategic category footwear planning to ensure sustainable growth against key category initiatives and concepts. Outlines category direction and consistently evaluates for relevant and new opportunities together with overall product team.

·        Product Briefings
Creates Product Briefings in close cooperation with the Global Product Team.

·        Product Creation Process
Coordinates the whole product creation process in order to judge, adjust, fine-tune and finalize the product-line range for each quarter.
This means the coordination of the Pre Line process (this process is used to gather feedback of both retailers & consumers regarding the samples of our product-line), the availability of sales samples and photo samples in coordination with Logistics.

·        Quarterly inline range presentations
Responsible for quarterly inline range presentation for the strategic accounts. Presents the complete product-line to the European sales team. Ensure the European organization is fully informed and aligned with the product-line. Present inspiration, mood boards & trend summaries to ‘sell’ the complete product/marketing story.

·        Marketing Initiatives
Develop product/marketing concepts/stories/packages together with the marketing department.

·        Analyses
Analyze business reports and sales figures that will provided on a structural basis and use these for future product development.

·        Trend insights
Gain trend insight within European consumer/retail market and evaluates relevant information. Attend key account meetings, trade shows, fashion exhibitions and market visits for presentations, relationship building, and trend/market research.

·        Internal Communications
Is responsible for internal communication about the strategic accounts. Is the contact person for Asian development team, European logistics team and sales teams.

 

 

Requirement

 

Education

HBO/University degree in Economics, Marketing, Sport Marketing, Textiles, Fashion; or other equivalent education/training.

 

Experience

5 – 7 year footwear experience and have preferably worked for another European lifestyle brand/retailer

 

Personality/Skills

Sneaker minded (deep knowledge of sneaker business in Europe)

Excellent feeling for trends and opportunities to enhance the brand

Excellent knowledge of sport lifestyle market

Seniority

Strong personality

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Analytical skills

Basic computer skills (Power Point, Excel, Word, Illustrator)

Willingness to travel

 

Language

Fluent in English
